Post Error 903 when trying to login
Back to try this again. I've since uninstalled Hamachi and now the error 903 happens instantly. Earlier I downloaded the client from the main page and ran online.exe while making sure I whitelisted the entire game folder in every security program I have, but still no luck. I even tried to remove all filtering from my router. Am I missing an updated exe?

Same result. I've also tried to run it on the laptop earlier which never had hamachi installed on it so you can at least rule out that program now.

I've moved the posts to a new thread.

Can you try running a tracert to eden's ship and PM me the results?

Open Command prompt (Start -> Run -> "cmd" -> OK). Enter in the command prompt window:

tracert ragol.edenserv.net

It may take some time for the trace to complete. Ideally you're looking for 15 or less hops before it reaches the server.

It took 10 hops to get there.

Are you using a 3g/4g internet connection?

Are you able to ping the server? (from command prompt)
ping ragol.edenserv.net

Maybe a firewall on your system is blocking the outgoing connection. Ensure that any firewall is set to allow outgoing of 11000, 11001, 12000, 12001, there are also some ports in the 5000 range I forget which so for now allow 5000 - 6000 out going. All are TCP.

To test to see if its a firewall issue you could telnet to the server on port 11000. From command prompt
telnet ragol.edenserv.net 11000
If you're running windows 7 and haven't used telnet before you'll need to install it (Enabling Telnet Client for windows 7).

If all tests above work okay, can you try performing these tests from command prompt:

ping ragol.edenserv.net -l SIZE -f

replacing SIZE with a number below 1500. start at 1500 and gradually reduce it until you find a number that doesn't timeout and doesn't produce an error of "Packet needs to be fragmented but DF set.". If this number is low 1400's or in the 1300's you may need to set the MTU manually on your router or network adapter.

I'm still on an ethernet cable.

Ping worked.

Telnet worked too. Besides, I disabled the firewall completely when I tried the client.

The highest working number is 1464. How do I change that setting if needed?

If you can logon to your router you should find the MTU specified there. But you can set it on your Lan adapter too:

Before you can set your MTU you need to find out the Name of the adapter. In command prompt enter:
netsh int ip show int
Now enter the following (replacing "Ethernet" with your adapter's name):
netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface "Ethernet" mtu=1464 store=persistent

Now when you run "netsh int ip show int" you'll find that the MTU has changed from 1500 to 1464.

If you are still having issues. Try setting the MTU even lower.

I found my router's MTU in its interface and it's set at 1492. Since it gives me no way to change that value, I tried to "netsh start remoteaccess" (the service isn't running on my computers) but it gives me an error 1058. I'm not sure how to start it up and google didn't help much.

I assume you meant "net start remoteaccess". As netsh is used for making changes to your network configuration and not for starting services. "net" can be used to start services (although I prefer to use "SC" or just plain old services.msc). why do you want to enable remote access on your PC?

If your router has been provided by your ISP you may need to go to an "advanced" page on your router to enable you to change the MTU. Some routers require you to set it via Telnet.

I would suggest that you set the MTU on your ethernet adapter instead. You could always revert it by setting the MTU back to 1500.
