Exceeding your native resolution's boundaries in either direction (X or Y-- Length or Width) is what causes it. Because you're running 1360x768, both 1366x768 and 1280x800 would crash it.
I honestly have no idea how to stop it from crashing(aside from just using a lower resolution), and it may be exclusive to the wide screen client(needs some testing).
